Waterford Celebrates The Annual National Day of Prayer

Center of Waterford in Hialeah Gardens, Florida joined Signature HealthCARE facilities across the nation in “Praying for America”.

Gathered in the activities room of the Waterford building, patients, family members and stakeholders celebrated together this day invoking God’s blessings and protections upon the United States and its citizens. After opening the event with the national anthem, Chaplain Jacob Miranda, Director of Spirituality at Waterford gave the invocation followed by an introduction of the day’s activities.

Josue Hernandez, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Hialeah Gardens spoke on the Lord’s Prayer from Luke 11:1-4. Carmen Telot, administrator at Wateford shared her testimony on experiencing healing through the power of prayer. Prayer petitions were read by the various stakeholders and volunteers in their native languages: Creole, Spanish, English, and Filipino. Lastly, Residents, stakeholders, and volunteers sang praise and worship songs to conclude the service.

An ice-cream social topped the afternoon and everyone in attendance enjoyed the afternoon festivities.
